It was funded by the Regional Government of Apulia under the Call for Proposals for projects of social Connectivity. It allowed to establish an “advanced computers centre” dedicated to low sighted and blind people and their families by putting at their disposal:

• Information on available technologies;
• Computer posts equipped with advanced technical aids (braille display and printer, screen reader and software for vocal recognition, scanner to convert texts into audio file, etc.);
• Links to databases, multimedia libraries collecting e-books, audio-books, etc.
